During visit on my cousin in Frankfurt, for a few euros, I find this vista dome car (Meder VEDES in Bornheim mitte). It is ideal for installation of passengers, but there is a problem: whether anyone succeeded to open it?!

Hi,

the roof is a clear plastic part together with the windows. You have to press the toilet windows inside, the try to lift up the roof. Probably you will need five hands ad 18 fingers to do this, along with a couple of tools. The toilet window tends to crack. I think the centre dome is part of the roof.

I confirm, I had the same and all cars with the same construction are a nightmare to open. Never succeeded without cracking something.

There is a similar issue on the neighbourly forum. Really, it seems like "mission impossible".

den Domcar habe ich zwar schon von Märklin, doch irgendwie konnte ich diesen hier auch nicht liegen lassen.....

I also got the RHEINGOLD version, 30 9170. I will post more pictures, but the first thing I noticed is that on the TEE PANORAMA version there is no Hamburg Altona - Stuttgart train route boards. Probably, in that version, the car never ran on that route. Very commendable for LIMA.
