Lima had a repainted European wagon that resembled a Victorian Railways VFNX, known locally as a "Prairie Wagon". Although the folding tarpaulin looked very similar, the rest of the model (302864) was quite different to the prototype Here are some modified examples.
The tarpaulin cover has had little modification, but the ends of the wagon have been heavily altered. The bogies have also been exchanged for ones more like those used in Australia.
Great! I always wondered it there was something similar to the Lima Model in real life. I actually thought to put one of these on American bogies and cut the buffers to make it at least a little bit more "foreign".
