This is a nice and - by technical point of view - one of the most important trains. - first double deck unit, consisting on two coaches with a jacobs boogie between it, - coaches with ice-based air condition - locomotive (later series 60) could be operated by one Person - double deck unit with cabs, could be pushed or pulled with same maximum speed (120 km/h)
The LBE double deck unit was the model for hundreds of DD units (4 or 2 coaches) build by Waggonbau Görlitz since 1952
