the couplings are not a criteria. Lima initially chose a coupling for their N-scale, which resemble the "dunny seat" (HO-scale NEM hook & loop) coupling in reduced scale. Eventually they switched to the rapido coupling just a short time later. Lima sold these early models under their own brand as well. Only models for the British export market came in Wrenn boxes. The same stuff was sold in Europe and elsewhere in Lima boxes.
