Lima introduced its SNCF BB 9200 in 1962. The guys in Vicenza took the easy way and closely copied the Märklin model of the same type, which was very common for a long time there at Lima. Another novelty was to be found in this catalogue, a SNCF INOX coach with " Le Mistral" boards on its sides. The proposed length if this coach was supposed to be 26cms, almost scale (!).
Finally this coach was only 23.5cms long.
There were two versions of this model. From 1962/63 until 1963/64 it ran on bogies FS Tipo AB (almost similar to Prussian standard bogies). These vintage style bogies looked much out of place on a then very modern coach.
After 1964 Lima switched to more accurate French Y20 bogies.
This coach was listed in the catalogue until 1971 and replaced by the longer INOX coach No. 9113.
