The general catalogue of 1976 showed a very stange locomotive marked as a novelty. It was a German class V160 (BR216) in Spanish RENFE colours. For a long time I thought it was never made, but it was. Lets have a look at the original first. For sure, RENFE never had a German V160. Lima's intention to use the V160 was quite far fetched, even though, the result was not bad if you keep the real thing out of your mind. For the Lima collector, who should be familiar with some strange models, this is a must.
