According to my roster, LIMA produced for the first time this series in 1970 with model #20 8039CL, followed afterwards in 1973 with #20 8049CL. The livery was BR-Blue, used from mid 1960's onwards. In 1976 they launched #20 1646 in BR-Green livery (originally applied from factory in 1958 and until 1963 approx). And I guess this was the last model to be made in HO, because the following year it was renumbered as #205115 and it appeared in OO (1/76). The latest version I have recorded appared in 1980, bearing number #205114 and in BR-Blue livery.
This series was used as a multitasking engine, being useful for both passenger and freight convoys, and its nickname was "Crompton".
Some time ago I came into possession of a #205115 which appeared in ebay at a very good price, but since I ain't no collector of British matériél I did not keep it very much and sold it almost right away (British stuff it seems is quite sought after in Argentina). But here are some photos from the short time it was under my collection.
