In 1967 the British company Wrenn imported Lima N scale and sold the models under the brand name "Wrenn N Micromodels. Click on the link and find old catalogues, train packs, models and advertisements.

Thanks, was wondering about the connection/history between Lima and Wrenn.

Given the couplings that appear in those Wrenn images, it would seem that this wagon that I have may have been sold by Wrenn.

Hi Darren,

the couplings are not a criteria. Lima initially chose a coupling for their N-scale, which resemble the "dunny seat" (HO-scale NEM hook & loop) coupling in reduced scale. Eventually they switched to the rapido coupling just a short time later. Lima sold these early models under their own brand as well. Only models for the British export market came in Wrenn boxes. The same stuff was sold in Europe and elsewhere in Lima boxes.
