Today I would like to introduce a quite new manufacturer on the Italian model railway scene, ATM (Treni Antonini). ATM specialized themselves in niche models, i.e prototype diesel engines and produced quite a few of them in the recent couple of years. I came across ATM three years ago on Verona's Model Expo, where they had an exhibition booth. ATM makes budget sized models, not overdetailed, but with a nice overall look.
Their first model was a Locomotore Diesel D.442 401, a one of a kind locomotive in Italy, manufactured by Ansaldo and powered by a Maybach diesel engine. It's a close relative to the German V200 diesel.
Ansaldo Logo on the front, the "Baffo-Style" paint job is from the early years of this engine.
The second model was a D.342.3001, made by OM.

All ATM models are made in China (the box although states Cina) and are produced in a rather limitied number.
Recently ATM introduced their "Elite Line", to my believe something like "Piko Expert", models with higher grade of details at affordable prices. Planned are reruns of the D.442 in different colours and others.
